The empire's rise to power was solidified after the Rain of Stars devastated the Tyrrha ecosystem, leading to widespread disease and famine. In the aftermath, the Duxa Emperors formed a strategic alliance with the Urthnaki Confederation, which resulted in the Laws of Balance. In this agreement, orc slave-harvesters are exchanged for the critical mineral MIRA. This trade has been fundamental in maintaining the power balance between humans and orcs.
Emperor Tygho Duxa III's reign has been characterized by tight control over the Order of Hadaki, a powerful mining guild responsible for Mira extraction. Composed solely of Hadaki men and women, the Order has become essential to the empire's economy. The Duxa maintain their dominance over the Hadaki people through strict regulation, ensuring that the extraction of Mira remains uninterrupted and that the empire’s political grip on the region remains unchallenged.
