# The Guard of Tirros

\
The **Black Protego**, or Hadakian Knights, are elite warriors who train in the secretive and elusive martial art of shadow fencing. This combat style, a blend of stealth, agility, and precision, is honed in the harsh underground tunnels and the rocky terrain surrounding Hadaki’s city centres. The Black Protego are known for their ability to disappear into their surroundings, blending seamlessly with the environment, whether they are in the dense mines or the harsh desert landscapes. Their hit-and-hide tactics make them masters of surprise attacks and ambushes, capable of striking swiftly and silently before vanishing.

The Black Protego also serve as protectors of the **Orderlings**, carrying out covert operations and eliminating threats to the ruling caste with silent efficiency. Though officially outlawed under the Duxa Empire, their resistance continues in the shadows, with exiled knights secretly passing down their training to new generations. They see themselves as the last defenders of the **Order of Hadaki,** and the way of life passed down through the ages.

The **Hadakian Spectre** are experts in long-range combat, with unmatched accuracy using firearms. Their unique communication system, the **Whispers of Ou'alid**, allows them to coordinate silently using air vibrations that only fellow Spectres can understand. Known for their strategic minds and knowledge of ancient warfare, the Spectres abandoned the Holy City of Tirros after the Duxa Expulsion. Rumours suggest they now operate in secrecy, possibly forming alliances with rebel factions.
